In John 4:1 where we are told to test a religion before we join.
How did you investigate the watchtower society before you joined it?
Did you read books both for and against the society to help judge it accurately?
Had you read the Bible in its entirety?
If the context of a verse is ignored, people can prove anything they wish from it. To prevent this problem, did you read the Bible passages found in the Watchtower plublications in context to make sure they were applied accuratly?
Were you acquanted with the teaching of any other church groups before you began to study with the witnesses?
What was the process that you used to test the watchtower organization before you joined?
Have you ever checked the quotations the Society uses from other sources to see wether or not they are taken out of context?
And do you think i'm right to use this process to check out the organisation?
Do you think i make an important point about 1 John 4:1?

As an Ex JW, I can only ask.....do you really have nothing better to do? This is nothing more then YOUR inturpretation of 1 sentence from 1 scripture.

It is importent that you always check the background of the religion. But all religions have their flaws, you should find the one you feel is most directed by the Bible.

The J.W.s are good people, but they take their Religion seriously, as everyone should.THEY ARE NOT A CULT!Yes, they are pushy sometimes.

They just try to follow everything the Bible teaches them.
The LORD told us to spread the word of the Bible, but most religions just expect people to come to them.

The Jehovah's Witnesses are the only religion i know that actually recruits believers.

But, be asured, if you follow the commands of the Bible, and in your heart, you truely want to serve The LORD, and are repentent when you sin, your religion will matter very little.

Always follow The Holy Words of The Bible, and remember not to let anything come between you and The LORD, it is also importent to remember, The Bible is not holy, only the words contained in The Bible are holy. The words are of God, and they are pure.

The materialistic Bible is man-made, and that should be remembered.

Yes, Mrs.,

You should analyze anything you encounter that you might incorporate into your beliefs. Think deeply and consider if it is beneficial for your serving GOD.

The most important factor when studying religion is to find the way that most purely and devoutly teaches the Oneness of GOD (monotheism).

I'm not a JW. I would like too plainly tell you and anyone how to determine if God, is involved in anything.

ANYTHING......ANYTHING....You do or say ...........

If it does NOT..Glorify Jesus Christ.................

IT IS NOT OF GOD. !!!!!!

Bottom line. Any church group, any person discuss religion with you, if what they say does NOT "Glorify" Jesus Christ....................

It is not of God.

All Christians, should apply this to their daily lives. ANYTHING, you do............Is it from God?

I see several people on here ask, "Is it a sin to do this? To do that? Does doing what they are asking Glorify Christ?
They have they're answer before ever asking.

Good Question.
