I have been an AVID Steelers fan since I was in diapers and am planning a Steelers wedding for next summer. Since it's summer, I want the dresses yellow. Any ideas where I can find that shade of yellow for my maids' dresses? And please don't say David's Bridal. I've already checked there since that's where my dress is from. They only have one dress that just slightly matches. The wedding will be in the Atlanta area, so local resources would be great, too.

Please...no ben haters on this post...if so I'll have to report you as abuse. I know everyone has their opinion of him, but trust me when I say I've heard it all. (I went to high school with him.)

Ok, first let me say, I'm a lifelong Steelers fan. However, asking your bridesmaids to wear yellow is just mean (unless they actually look good in the color). My husband's cousin had yellow bridesmaids dresses and the girls all looked like they had the flu. Also, you could see right through them, one bridesmaid had on blue underwear. Again, if your bridesmaids look good in yellow disregard this paragraph. An alternative would be black dresses with a yellow sash. You should be able to find ribbon in the proper color at any fabric store.
If you have your heart set on yellow, you're going to have to go to local bridal shops and look at the fabric swatches for different designers. I've looked online at a few but the yellows are all too pale. I'm not sure you're going to find what you're looking for. Dessy has a color called lemon that might work, it's hard to tell online. Bari Jay has a color called sunshine. Good luck.

Speaking of being in diapers, don't forget to put one on before you put your bridal gown on. That way if you have to pee, you don't have to worry about how you do that while wearing that nice gown.
I know it sounds silly, but think about it. Here you are, you have your gown on, the make-up is finished to that last glowing touch, your hair is just right, you have the pretty shoes on your feet, and then. . . . . . . . the inevitable happens, you have to pee.
That means you have to go into the restroom, in a narrow stall, try to manipulate your gown to the point that you can sit on the pot to pee. Your gown is dragging on the dirty floor, laying in who knows what. You go to flush and find out that the hem of your skirt is in the bowl. I don't think that is the shade of yellow you have in mind.
So, just put on a nice thick diaper and not worry about it. If the gown has a full skirt it won't show at all, if it is a straight skirt then maybe just a single adult disposable to prevent accidents if you find you can't hold it.
Remember, you have the preparation time, the actual ceremony, which can be lengthy sometimes, the reception (who knows how long that will last) and the drive to your honeymoon hotel. You could be hours and hours before you can take the gown off and go to the bathroom properly.
Refrain for drinking anything for awhile before the ceremony, use either two adult diapers (the first has the backing slit so moisture will seep through to the second one) or several baby diapers slit in the same manner with an adult diaper over them.
Good luck and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
P.S. Your new husband might find it enticing to see you in that diaper, when the time comes.

Try going to local bridal boutiques. Bring them a clothing swatch of the exact shade of yellow that you want (they may not know what Steelers yellow is LOL).
Being such a big city, there are plenty of places to try out. Congratulations, and GO STEELERS!!

You do NOT have to get your bridesmaids dresses from a bridal store. Look in all stores especially Jessica McClintock ~ they have all colors and really nice styles, too.

Maybe you should try looking for material, and finding someone who would make the gowns for you. Sounds like a tall order!
