I need some verses/books in the Bible that state the view of God against premarital sex and promiscuity. Thanks!

argh... just to clarify, I am a very strong christian who needs no persuading about the bads of premarital sex. I have a christian friend who is asking for SPECIFIC verses, because he is in a nonChristian environment and is being made to think waywardly about his own beliefs on this matter. Thanks to those who are concerned about my well-being, but I just needed some help with the verses in case I missed some when I was telling them to him online just now. Thanks!

The best way to find these verses is know the bible well enough to be able to find them yourself, I suggest you find time to actually read the bible and learn about your religion before you go on the internet and pick and choose the verses you need.
I know a few verses that you might be interested in knowing, but I'm not going to tell in hopes that you will pick up your bible and learn about what you believe in.
ps. I'm the youth leader at my church, I know the bible pretty well, thanks though.

I am at work and do not have my bible handy however I do know that the woman at the well that Jesus was talking to was a woman that was considered of a very sinfull nature because she had many men in her life and was not married to all of them. She was scorned by the other women and not allowed to go to the well when everyone else was there. The fact that you have asked this question shows that you have a conscience. Don't do something that you might regret.

thanks for asking this. i become intending to ask an same question. it is yet another question, that you take care of in you extra comments: "Why do conservative Christians keep in mind that 2 unmarried human beings having sex isn't adultery?" that is not any longer a matter of "maximum persons" pondering adultery to contain a minimum of one unmarried human being. it is purely what the note "adultery" ability. Fundie Christians are in outcome attempting to redefine the note "adultery". yet they are up in hands about society's dealing with the attitude of redefining the note "marriage". generic fundie hypocrisy and double-dealing. @Roger: the way I are conscious of it, Deut. 22:28-29 isn't a prohibition adversarial to premarital sex, yet a stipulation that unmarried those who've sex with one yet another (some thing which isn't incorrect in itself) might want to go and get married. Paying the female's father is in outcome a minimum dowry. also, note that this rule in hardship-free words applies if the couple is stuck. in the adventure that they are stuck, then the female's having sex will maximum possibly grow to be public expertise, in which case she will be in a position to grow to be unmarriageable. So this rule is likely a way for giving the female a way out if she receives stuck. If she would not, then each and every thing's wonderful.

Premarital sex in The Holy Bible is called fornication. Look up "fornication" in any reference Bible or Bible Concordance.

Are you doing an exam or something, because i was just going to tell you that it would probably be better if you wait until you become of certain maturity in life. Also there can be many risks with sex and are you aware of what they are..Pregnancy, diseases, emotional challenges and more but those are the big ones...

Acts 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
1Corinthians 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body [is] not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

1 Corinthians 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Premarital sex is good for you.
I like this Kay person's answer above me. She doesn't know but that isn't going to stop her from trying to force you into reading the whole bible.
