I just adopted two mix terrier dogs, one 25 pounds one 11 pounds. The bigger dog poops up to five times a day, the smaller dog up to three times a day. They are a year old and get fed once a day. I think that is too much poop, my previous dog would poop up to twice a day at the most. Is this normal? I've had the dogs for about two weeks.

might have an intestinal parasite which is very common in cats and dogs, take a stool sample of both and see if you can have it tested and go from there...ohh its very treatable and inexpesive, medicine once a day for 9 days, no big deal

It could be the food that they are eating. A higher quality of food usually means less poop because it is not full of fillers that the dog does not need and the body will not absorb. On the other hand the food could be too rich for them.

Higher quality dog food. You feed less food and the dog uses more of the food and poops less.
Cheap dog food is full of filler and the dog can not digest it and it creates poop. More filler more poop and the more dog food you feed the more poop you get.
I feed a dog food that my large dogs only get about 3 cups of food per day. Less poop.

I have had dogs for over 20 years and when this happens to me is do to hook worms. Get some worm medicine it will take 3 to 4 weeks to begin working. Keep treating them for several months. Be careful if the dog likes your fae or your hands and it goes to the mouth the person can get worms too. Best wishes nature

You might have to go to a high quality dog food, I did and my dog is just fine now.

feed them less and buy a better dog food. They are obviously not processing much out of it.

cheap dog food has a lot of filler in it, producing more waste. don't buy supermarket dogfood, try going somewhere like petco and get a higher grade (i.e. nutros) and see if that helps.
