see Genesis 3:1-7

also....

Since you created all things and only things good (2 Chronicles 19:7; James 1:12), from whence cometh Satan? If Satan always existed as an evil co-deity with you, then you are not omnipotent because in that case, you would not be the only eternal deity. If you created Satan to become evil, then you violated your own word by creating an evil thing, when supposedly, you cannot break or contradict your word (Titus 1:2; John 10:35). If Satan was originally created as an angel and later fell from grace, then why did you create a being that you knew would fall away?

Stop asking uncomfortable questions!

Seriously, not too long ago in the lunch room a lady said, "Why did God PUT the apple in the garden?"

I thought it was amusing.

Seriously, man - I'm not religious, but you're kind of ignorant.

God gave the angels free will - just as He gave to man. Some Christians believe that if Satan had not fallen, then the snake would never have tempted Adam & Eve and created original sin. Then God would not have given Jesus to the world to redeem their sins. It was all part of His perfect plan. Just becaue you don't understand it doesn't mean sh*te. God has His reasons, they're way beyond us.

Also, animals talked in the Garden of Eden.

Satan started out as an angel. One day Satan got the idea that he wanted to be better in God.

God lets sin happen for a reason, for example if your mom raised you and didn't let you get into any tough situations you would not be as strong, or smart as you are.

Poor Lucifer. I do feel sorry for him. The question I would ask is, "where did pride come from?" Lucifer was the most beautiful of all the angels...pride somehow entered into him and caused him to want to be god. Maybe he thought he could do a better job, maybe he had so much power that it convinced him he could. I don't know. All I know is that his choices led him down a road that stripped him of all his beauty and power. God didn't do it, his choices did it. Maybe the bitterness transformed him into something dark and evil...maybe it caused him to hate mankind so much because we are destined to have all the things he had wanted for himself. It is a sad story...I've even prayed for him.

What would be the value in creating beings that did not have the free will to make their own decisions. If all He wanted were things that followed the rules, why make life at all?

The talking snake was actually Adam's penis and the forbidden fruit was actually sex. The snake (penis) was so tempting that it convinced Eve to put it in her vagina and that brought forth the fall of man. Silly horny humans!

The Christian God created creatures with true free-will.

Satan was one of them (an angel who chose to reject God).

Cordially,
John
