Whatever, most of the blokes out there wish they could play football HALF as good as women. I play football & I always will. Sorry, boys, we're not going away. Stop losing hair over it!
Besides, USA is going to dominate the 2007 WOMEN'S WORLD CUP. So, all of you can shove it & go worry about your receeding hair line.

NO! The WUSA folded. If it had been nurtured properly this wouldn't have happened. MLS, too, had a slow start but was nursed into health. I guess the fact that the WUSA might come back in 2008 is somewhat of a stride forward. I remember during the '99 World Cup, the announcer was talking about Sissi (think of a Brazilian Mia Hamm almost) and how much she was disrespected in Brazil even though Brazil is one of the biggest football teams in the world. It made me very sad.
The amount of money they pay the women for winning a World Cup is a joke. I honestly saw very little of the last one so the amount may have imrpoved but the amount in '99 would have been laughable if it wasn't so ghastly sad. It was even worse than other women's sports.
Soccer or Football in the U.S. has a long way to go, but I never understand why more Americans don't cheer the women on. They are by far superior to the men's team.

no, i really dont think people support women's soccer because its just not taken seriously. but then again, its the same for most women's sports, right?? i could be wrong, though.
personally, i prefer the men's game but not because of the press or the money. its mainly because there is more passion in the game. men can play a bit more aggressively. also, the argentina women's team is really bad while the argentina men's team is one of the best. its hard to support a team that just sucks (sorry ladies).

If women can stop a reasonable fast ball by using their chest without being hurt or feeling the pain and they don't spoil the milk shake for their babies.. then it could be taken seriously no doubt, but from my own point of view they can’t compete against men against each other because of the natural chemistry!!!.. also the natural abilities we born with that specifies one type from another... Otherwise we are going to end up watching (blind date - love island - love shag... etc) and it could be worse and embarrassing if the stick got very hard during a match( you know what I mean!.. especially warm hot people, not the cold blooded emotionless type) or just tell me how can women have the same advantages as men if they cant compete against them in some aspects of life?!!… you can say something else but be fair and realistic.. A female is a female and a male is a male and this is the beauty of human nature and indeed the complete meaningful circle of life.. If men became cheer leaders would this have a great affect or being taken seriously????!!!!.. Please ladies be your self’s and don’t compete against nature.. Please don’t spoil any thing beautiful and sexy about you for goodness’ sake.

There is no single answer to this. I live in the US, and simply put not even the men's game gets enough media attention.
There is always going to be the ugly males out there who will prove themselves as bigoted fools. To seperate myself from them let me merely state that Michelle Akers was the best US defensive midfielder I've ever seen. And that includes the men's team, and you could throw in a hand full of other countries as well.

Only when they swap shirts at the final whistle!
Seriously though, it's not given any press coverage except maybe the Women's FA Cup Final and/or the Women's World Cup highlights are shown on BBC. I know there are some people who would love to see it get wider coverage and more power to them.

depends where you live, Germany is really big on this but the woman's teams still don't earn anywhere near the same as low league guys. More promotions and more press and media coverage would greatly benefit woman's soccer too, Glasgow United are fantastic!

I play for my local team and whenever we do get our picture or match report in the local paper, its like they feel they are obliged to do it every now and again to show non-bias,but i really dont think they care.As far as their concerned its a minority sport with a minority of interest.
