I got my wisdom teeth out 8 days ago and my jaw still hurts. It's very sore in the morning and just sore all day long. How long will this last and what can I do to make it better?

You might be clenching your teeth, (biting them together really hard) you may need a mouthgaurd. The dentist can make you a custom fit one of hard material and you sleep with it at night, most people clench or grind at night. Or you can even get a cheap one that athletes wear from Wal-mart and see if that helps altjough they are not as hard as the custom made ones and obviusly don't fit as well, but they help absorb the pressure from clenching. You may have started to clench when you got them pulled as a way to alleviate the pain unconciously and now your just doing it.

Or you could try some warm compresses on your jaw along with advil, or whatever you take for a headache.
