I give advice and argue because I care. So, yes.

Both, it depends on the question and the questioner.

Sometimes I'm at odds, especially on Divorce question. The Bible is quite clear on this and it came from Jesus mouth, except for adultery NO WAY, but you have mitigaing circumstances and I went back on forth in e-mails with a questioiner who took me to task over her absive husband. People don't suddenly turn abusive. Abusive people were abused or were abusive bullies as kids. How come she didn't see that before the marriage and how come the Church didn't help her resolve the matter.

There was also a question a girl had about premarital sex with her fianace and she claims to be christian. Once again the Bible and Jesus are clear on this matter. What really irked me was the cheering section, especially from other women (or men posing as wome with female Avatars) basically telling her to drop her pants and spread her legs, it's a great thing to do outside of marriage!

Well, for me, I may see or hear a question that makes me feel argumentative for a moment. Then I think about it, and if I can't answer a question that I can relate to myself or if I can't answer something about scripture, I just don't answer it. When I try to give advice, I draw upon my own life experience in my walk with God. I'm defintiely not a Bible scholar, so I can't answer specific questions about scripture, although some questions I've seen here have made me wonder if going to school to study scripture would be a good idea. It sounds interesting :)

I am caring when I give advice about God and Jesus. Arguing is trying to resolve something in a heated debate. Does this make sense to you?

no point in being argumentative because everyone is entitled to what they believe. At the end of the day we're all entitled to be wrong too ;)

But I do think I'm a good person to speak to if you want advice about God. I find it easy to talk about if someone comes to me and wants to know what I believe in a non-antagonistic way. I don't see any point to fighting about stuff or trying to prove anything. I don't need to prove what I believe - I just have to believe it.

When I am asked for advise of a Spiritual nature, I assume that the asker is really seeking, and I try to answer in a serious and caring way. God put us all here toegether to nourish each other. Like it or not we all have a responsibility to spread the Good News.

I get defensive only when someone is openly being inflammatory in their statements or stances on Christianity. If they have honest, sincere questions, I try to be caring and careful of what I say so I don't confuse them or misrepresent the Word of God.

Most of the time I really do care to help and teach others what i do know and to share my own life experiences with others and when i can I'll do volunteer work. I used to go to schools with the local Police department and teach kids the real dangers of doing drugs- because I know -....but im only human and ive lost it a time or two !

When someone is curious about my beliefs in God, I am very caring and understanding. When someone is hateful and/or sarcastic, I find it difficult to avoid being defensive - but I still try. I still think there's hope for everyone to tolerate the beliefs of others.
