of a marathon(does anyone remember)
to a snicker it has always bugged me that they did that. Does anyone agree?

Snicker' is the American name for teh Marathon bar.

and as the company is one of those multi-nationals, it didn't like having to have different names for it's products in other places.

Starbursts from Opal Fruits is another casualty of this on-going americanisation.

There have been snicker bars as long as I can remember, & I am almost 50...marathon bars are a recent addition & if they went away, it was because they weren't selling well...

It was because we were the only country to name them that, every where else called them snickers so we had to be the same.

its always bin called a snickers in america I think thats where the recipe originated
