No, you didn't if you weren't part of those racist marches. The anti-American sentiment was clear. If I saw one more ****** toting around a sign in support of La Raza, I think I'd have barfed.
That being said, no one likes the Neo-Nazi's but themselves. No one supports them, they don't get air time, they don't get stories in the newspaper. But, they are also all AMERICANS. Love them or hate them, they are.
What pissed me off, and just about everyone I know, was the threats, the destruction of the American flag and the blatant disregard for the law that was flaunted during those marches.
It wasn't a "few" Mexicans, it was tens of thousands of them. Many were illegal aliens. And, believe me, I know all about immigration, because my husband immigrated LEGALLY from England.
So watching a bunch of ******* with no regard for the laws, whine about their "rights", really pissed me off. How about you wait in the long lines at immigration, pay thousands of dollars you don't have to do it the right way and then get back to me.

Only illegals in this country are the so-called targets, whether they are Mexican, Ethiopian, European, or Martian. Unfortunately for the LEGAL Mexican citizens and Mexican Americans--illegal Mexican immigrants made themselves targets by marching in AMERICAN streets DEMANDING that AMERICANS give them the Civil Rights which are reserved for AMERICAN CITIZENS.
AMERICANS don't appreciate people who come over here and take, take, take--stealing American jobs, and sucking our social services dry--and then DEMAND that we give them more!
Where is the gratitude? Where is the patriotism? I'll tell you where--there is no gratitude, only a feeling of entitlement, and the loyalties are still rooted deep in Mexico.
That's fine--it's where they should be, at home fixing their own broken country, not here taking advantage of the most generous people on Earth.

I think you are confused. The 'target' is illegal immigrants that have broken the law and continue to break the law by remaining in our country illegally.
The Neo-nazis are racist bigots and there is no comparison here because there is nothing racist about wanting all people to enter our country legally.

If you read back, this whole mess has been going on for years, a lot of tired, thread-bare recycled rhetoric, but no matter which side you view the problem from, the issue of poverty(or in some cases, feigned poverty) in Mexico doesn't seem to be diminishing. To some degree, I think there's an actual problem in Mexico, in other ways it really seems like we're being played.
To wit, Mexico's got their hooks into us to the tune of about 100 billion a year, that's 100 billion on a one-way trip out of our economy. Be it social services, incarceration/education/healthcare costs, cash being sent, drug trade, oil sales, that's a lot of pesos going across the fence each year, and it's good business for them, hence the pressure to let more and more of their people move right in. Now, the latest I read is that they want to let mexican citizens hold mortgages in the US. In other words, the country's being sold/given out from under the feet of americans by those powers-that-be that feel it's prudent to cater to the populace of Mexico. I leave it to you to decide who all's doing that, suffice it to say some of our representation seems to have an affinity for mexicans/hispanics over americans...some of that representation, if you can call it that, will be in the unemployment line after November...

There is no 'target' painted on anyone. However, there are Mexicans, even on this board, claiming an 'entitlement' to the services we pay for and the ability to come to our country without following our laws. I don't happen to have seen that from anyone else. People who say things in response to that statement are speaking to those Mexicans. If you aren't one of them, they aren't speaking to you.
Mexicans make up more of our illegal immigrants than all of the other countries put together. It is natural they would have the most to say of the illegal immigrant nationalities, however, it is also natural that in calculating the negative impact of illegals, more will have had direct experience with Mexican illegals than those of other countries.
The problem is people thinking they can come and take services we subsidize for our own poor, just because they want to, ignoring the laws we have to protect the quality and availability of those services for our own people. It doesn't matter what nationality they are.

Get the chip off your shoulder. Treat everyone the way you would like to be treated. And, speak English in public. You shouldn't be a target at all, then.

I am sure it is hard for you being lumped in with the people who marched in may. Hopefully it will get better for you. I don't believe that labels are good for people and it seems that you are being labeled.
