You know, the type of guy who turns mini-golf into a PGA match. (Getting dirty looks on the second date is not a very good thing)

The guy who turns a friendly game of cards/monopoly into a world championship.

These guys have played competitive sports all their lives only to settle down for an academic pursuit. Can you blame me? err I mean them.

Hmmm. I think "scare away" really isn't the right term. I just think is a BIIIIGG turn-off for them. It has the opposite effect than what we think it should.

I really think there are few women that understand the testosterone induced, caffeine laced response men seem to get when in almost any game. It's in our genes (not jeans you dirt minded peeps reading this!)

We men need to remember...and I know it's hard...that the company, and fun of the game is what is really important...not a crushing victory!

There are times when you WILL be playing for all your worth, but that should be an understanding between the people playing whatever game your workin on, not some one-sided attempt to go for the gold despite how you may look to your date(s)

Have fun, don't be a jerk and whoop-the-crap-outta them to "prove" your a 'man'.

There out with ya, right...it's not like they bought a ticket to see you perform.

We men want to impress the women in our lives, and few men, whatever their age, lose that need.

There are other places to show your strengths...

They dont scare me, however its a big turn-off and I wouldnt really want to go out with him again, Its just tacky! Its ok to play a game just for fun...men who turn it into a big competition are insecure and feel the need to prove their worthiness in my opinion, I dated a guy like that and I noticed everyone was laughing at him, but of course he thought is was with him.

Doesn't scare me away. i am really competitive as well. So I like a guy that gives me a good battle. I do not like guys that let me win. If he wins he can rub it in because I will find something I can beat him at.

I like being competitive sometimes but it sounds like you really over do it. See your Girl as a partner and friend not someone you have to prove something to or try to challenge.

no i think competitive guys are fun to be around! then it makes it a challenge to play against them! that way it isn't boring!!! it doesn't scare me, it attracts me!! as long as there a good sport then sure why not!!! but then again remember it isn't all about winning!!!

most annoying think ever! i mean when you are with your guy friends then w/e do what you want, but guys should understand that girls dont like to turn simple fun games into "tournaments".

No, it can be funny but it can also get annoying after a while too!

However it can be extremely fun to beat them and see what their reaction is lol
