I walk with a bit of a limp, as a result of spinal surgery from 3 years ago. Although I currently have a boyfriend, I'm curious to know, are guys turned off by girls who have minor problems like mine? Would they, in general, still consider going out with girls who have little problems?

Current knowledge tells us that most of what we consider physical attractiveness is actually indicators of good health (clear skin, bright eyes, shiny hair, etc.). Symmetry is also a powerful factor of physical beauty, as are graceful movements. So a limp does indeed mark a person as being less than perfect.

However, other factors can counter this. Overall good looks can certainly help (Halle Berry would still be hot with "a bit of a limp"). And don't forget the power of personality -- a person with lots of personal charisma will have plenty of would-be romantic partners in spite of some physical imperfections. Just look at Benjamin Franklin, who was considered a ladies' man in spite of being overweight and suffering from gout (when he was over 50, no less!).

I think that if you're generally attractive and a good person you wont have a problem most of the time.
