i want to buy the blaupunkt va4100 amplifier which gives 100W rms per channel with 4 ohms. i also want to buy the Blaupunkt ODx573 speakers which handle 90W rms per speaker. will i overpower the speakers with this amp?

You should be fine. You can always "gain down" the input sensitivity for a little less power to the speakers.

But, I doubt that amp is actually *delivering* full rated power. You should be just fine.

Not if you don't turn it up too loud. It is, in fact, better to have more power in the amp so that you will never clip the signal. An overdriven amp will destroy speakers.

You realize that the average power your speakers will see playing at 100W, is approximately 10W.

Probably not. Amps are usually rated higher than they actually push anyway.

NO! 10 watts isnt going to make or break them. maybe if it was tweeters, but not normal speakers.

it will work just dont turn the amp all the way up.

put 2 speackers on one output....
and it depends on the impedance ....
