Average daily air traffic in US?

What is the average daily air traffic in "number of passengers" in USA. (as an example, is that 4 million people or 10 million people)

In January-February 2006 it was about 1.5 million people per day (Southwest had the largest number - about 200,000 per day, American was close second)). This is domestic traffic only including regional carriers. You can find more statistics here:
