Unfortunately, yes. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. No one (not even you) can avoid the second death of hell apart from Him.

Sorry.

Of course, you could learn about Him and be saved; but that is up to you.

So let me tell you about an argument that I had with my sunday school teacher when I was in high school. "If in the bible it says seek and ye shall find, and a buddist was seeking with all his heart but dies before he was technically "saved" or "born again" you're trying to tell me he is going to hell?" So even back then I didn't believe that a Buddhist would go to hell.

Now as an adult christain, I still don't believe that a buddhist or anyone for that matter goes to hell. And I am not alone in this. There are many Christians who have this belief. It is based on the definition of hell. I mentioned this in another post somewhere. The word for hell in the old testament refers to a place in ancient Judea not a fiery pit in the afterlife. This place was the equivalent of the modern day garbage dump. So when people talked about going to hell it had nothing to do with the afterlife but rather with the unpleasantness that we can face in this life. Hell is experienced here on earth when we are not living a life connected to God. It refers to the state of our souls here and now not when we die.

Obviously, I could go on but I think that at least answered your first question. (Not any new questions that might come up from my answer) Please just remember that just like all Buddhist are not the same neither are all Christians.

God finds the human heart that loves Him in the deepest muck you can hide it under. If you are His, No matter what you believe, you will answer when He calls and you will chose according to what is in your heart. He knows His own and His own know Him. REGUARDLESS of the religion or the lack of.

In the eyes of christians... Yeah you are headed south. But then again... Who cares what the christians think? I don't!

I believe in the tranquility and the ability to transcend flesh and mind limitations that the buddhist follows and believes. It is a beautiful philosophy. Some say that Christ learned in the East?

"Love God with all your heart and all your mind."

The means by which you tap into His love doesn't matter. All that is required is that sin is recognized as sin (shortcomings) and forgivness is asked for them and an acceptance that Jesus Christ came to remove them all, if we ask for it. It is always a choice and why get hung up on the technicalities, who does it harm to ask forgivness, what is the big deal to follow after the teachings of Jesus Christ or the teachings of Buddah which are quite linear actually.

Now that does contradict the whole yin and yang philosophy but... do you believe that God didn't know that to be truth as well? God is just... first and foremost, people forget that and fail to understand that God knows, the necessity and the purpose of the juxtaposition between the positive force and the negative. It is in every fiber of existance from the alkaline and the acid in the male and female form to the fact that He created the Devil KNOWING he would fall and rebel.

Maybe God IS the Buddah? Whatever man... Just find Him!

No christian has the right to bully away another belief.
Personally, I believe in many many religious practices. It is just the religious people I have a problem with.

If I told you that you were going to Hell, then I would be telling you I'm God. No human being in this universe can make such a judgment as that. Only God himself can judge you, me and everyone else on judgment day. Now that that is out of the way please don't take offense at what I'm going to say OK. I just feel that if you were not in some sort of doubt , you would never have asked this question. A short story OK. My Grandfather was a devout atheist until he took his life. On his death bed I said grandpa do you really not believe in god and as he was taking his last breath he grabbed me by the arm and said Rosalee there is a god. I know it now that its to late. So I do believe in God and have felt his love and with out a doubt trust and put all my faith in him. By the way I don't believe in three gods just one lol.

Wait, your question is a little off. You don't believe in Hell, but you're asking if you will go there?
In the eyes of this Christian the answer is no. But then again, I practice more Buddhism than Christianity anyway... so in the eyes of most Christians, I'm not really a Christian and I'm going to Hell too.
Maybe I'll see you there.
If you're worried about actually going to Hell, stop. You'll figure it out when you die. Until then, do what feels right to you. If Buddhism seems right and good, then do that.
If you're just trying to see if people are going to condemn you - stop. Yes there are judgemental pricks out there. They exist. They will tell you that you are going to Hell. We all know this. No need to question it. Are they right? I sure as hell hope not.

Having devout beliefs that are wrong do you no good. In Florida there are two kinds of coral snakes; one snake has a red stripe, and the other snake has a blue stripe. The snake with the red stripe is deadly, the poison can kill you within minutes, and the blue stripe snake is harmless. Now if you are color blind and believe with all your heart that the red stripe snake is a blue stripe snake and that snake bites you you still die.
The same thing applys to beliefs. You can be the most devout Buddhist in the world and since it is the wrong belief you will still go to hell (but everyone who rejects Jesus Christ goes to hell).
Jesus made it plain He claims to be the only way to heaven, and the only way to the Father (John 14:6). Jesus said that the ultimate sin was to reject Him. Jesus is either Lord of all or not Lord at all.
Jesus claimed to be God (Colossians chapter 1, Phillipians 2, Rev 1:17,18), and Jesus also said if you try to get to heaven any other way besides Him you will be treated like a thief and a robber.
So, my devout Buddhist friend if you don't accept Jesus as Lord and Savior you will go to hell, and that isn't just in the eyes of Christians it is the very truth of God. don_parnell2000

I am a Christian.
I don't make the judgment weather you go to hell or not.
That is in the domain of God.
I believe what I believe, if you subscribe to something else, that is the way it is.
What is this judgment by Christians thing?
Who is it that has started Christians to think this way?
Was it the pastors in these churches?
We are to believe, we are not to judge.
Who then is the Savior? It surely isn't me.
Where then does this save the world for Jesus thing come from?
Your actions should speak for Jesus, He lives within you and He should show forth. This should be, unless you are a religionist.
Not the real thing.

I do not judge you brother, so I cannot say. We in the Catholic Church believe in Heaven and Hell, but we hope NO ONE will choose Hell for eternity. The thing to consider is what you mean by saying, "I do not believe in God".
The Buddhist believe in an absolute and supreme exitsence. It is not known what this is, it is mysterious. But it is known when the pilgrim attains the state of Zen.
This mysterious existence is God (for lack of a better word to describe it) and the pilgrim seeks union with it (therefore, you do believe in a God, but not God as the Christians express, but the same God all the while).
Christians seek union with this mysterious God as well (for God is a mystery and we cannot believe we know all of who God is, not even the Bible divulges that).
Now as far as you going to Hell or not? Who can say but God? Even then I have doubt because your journey is leading you to the same mystery that all of humanity wishes to experience and commune with. We Christians have the assurity that Christ Jesus (revealed by that mysterious God) is the means to that union.
Finally, in the Catholic Church we teach that the Lord condemns no one for following their informed conscience. If all you know is what is taught in Buddhism and are certain in your heart this is where you are to be, then God does not condemn you. After all if your beliefs causes you to live a moral life in accordance with what is good and universal (e.g.) love of neighbor, respecting creation, sacrifice of selfish desires, etc. etc. then God will not condemn you even if you have heard the name of Jesus.
May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.
God's and your beast of burden

I'm a Christain, and to be quite honest to other Christains, I don't think you have to be one in order to get to heaven. I've always looked at it like this. If someone has been practicing another faith for their whole lifetime and are very devout to the God they believe in, they aren't going to convert. If a Jewish person or a Muslim person came up to me and said that I would go to hell if I didn't convert, I wouldn't even consider what they are saying, and I'm sure my fellow Christains wouldn't either. e're all sure we are following the one true religion, and we aren't going to give up on our faiths, I feel that if you live a Christain LIFESTYLE, meaning, you life a life like Jesus did by caring for others and being a benefit to this planet, I think God makes acceptons their. That's my view of that senario. I think that if your a decent person who lives like a devout Christain(and that can be possible) I think that God will accept you. I'm not a priest or some sort of evangelical Christain, mind you, I'm an everyday Christain who just really can't accept that idea

According to each religion, not adhering to the beliefs of that religion is reason to be sent to Hell (or whatever equivalent they believe in). Therefore according to Christian beliefs, you would go to Hell. However, you have to look at the real situation. In all religions, you are supposed to be a good person, and a good person will not go to Hell. Don't even think about the fanatics of any religion, because they really don't understand their own religion, or they would not be fanatics. Similarly, don't worry about "in the eyes of" any other religion, because it doesn't apply to you. If you are a good Buddhist (or Christian, Jew, Muslim, or any other religion), you will be a good person, and worthy of praise by all. Remember that what one religion sees as "Heaven" may seem as "Hell" to someone of a different religion.

Buddha's teaching is that the mind is supreme and everything has the mind as the forerunner.

Also belief/faith has no place in Buddhism unless u investigate and make sure something is absolutely true. (Impermanence,Suffering, old age, death - true)

Whereas Christianity and most other religions are based on belief and Faith.

Therefore it is logical to think that Christians/Muslims believe faithfully that all others go to hell (which for Buddhists is NON EXISTENT).
