i've liked this guy for a while now. i've told him, and he's told me that he has known. just recently informs me that he likes one of my friends. sometimes it seems like he's flirting with me. so, is he just saying he likes one of my friends to make me jealous, or what? i've dropped millions of hints, and one time came right out and asked him, but he seems to somehow always get around the question. i've told him that my friend doesn't like him, but since i've done that, i haven't heard from him. i wouldn't want to lie to him, and i told him that i wasn't going to ask him out, but should i?

Guys are made to flirt!!!! its the truth.. you can never tell right away if they like you just by flirting... The girl always seems to have to drop the first hint. But because you have dropped quite a few hints and he just doesn't want to notice them, that means that the flirting he does doesn't mean a whole lot. You no that might be hard to hear but its better to hear it then to get into a relationship with him and everthing goes wrong. Forget the guy because it will only end in heartache. Find the right guy that drops you the first hint! I hope this helped

Well, girl, if he is getting around the question then either he is fooling you or using you in some way, either to get informations about the other one or to make her jealous or whatever... If he was honest he would say right into your face if he liked you or not.
I met a guy who also circled around the questions and one day it seemed like he was going for me, and then the next day he backed off... It turned out that he was gay, just that he did not know yet!
So get away from guys that do not know what they want!!

Guys don't like being asked out directly, ignore him for a while and see if he starts trying to get in touch with you. Not to say sit at home and wait for the phone to ring, go out and do your thing with your girlfriends. But within a week if he hasn't tried to contact you then you may have gone over the top with the millions of hints. Move on, Girl.

If you need to know for sure then just simply ask him. But it sounds like he is not interested. If he was he would've taken your hints and wouldn't dance around your question and clues. Sometimes when we are interested in something/one we refuse to see the obvious. It even sounds like he is avoiding you to some degree. Guys just like girls can sometimes be flirtatious without meaning other than just being friendly or trying to get attention. Sometimes they just need to stroke their ego but may not be interested. But if you need to know for sure, you can ask him what he thinks about the two of you or how he sees you. I think sometimes we all need very clear answers otherwise we constantly think about it. Personally, I think some other deserving guy might appreciate your attention....

I mean if you want to completely embarrass yourself by asking out a man who is CLEARLY not into you, then by all means. Sweet heart, the man told you he liked someone else. Indeed, he may be flirting, but some men are just like that. Don't mistake frivolous flirtation for "like." Move on and focus on something, or someone else!

No, let him go, he's not that much into you, he was just enjoying the attention of knowing you liked him. Read the book that was on Oprah's "he's not that into you" or something like that, then you'll learn how to 'read the signs' better... Unlike girls, guys don't play the games. He's avoiding you or your questions, so put your focus on someone else, there is plenty of worthy guys in your surounding you might have been to busy to notice... and don;t dwell on him... refocus, ok...

no... you should let him take his time. You can't make him like you if he truly likes one of your friends. Your story kinds tells me that he isn't into you and into your friend. If it was meant to be than it will happen. If not move on...maybe if he sees you with a different guy then he will get jealous and ask you out?!?!?! good luck

My guess is that he probably only likes you for your attention. If he flirts with you it's because you're sure to notice, whereas other girls might ignore him.

If you still want him despite the fact that he's probably just playing with you, then ask him out. But don't be heartbroken if he blows you off.

He doesn't like you like that. He told you so. Believe him. A guy who likes you would NEVER say he didn't. It sounds like this guy was friends with you to get to your friend. Once he saw your friend had no interest he was gone. You would do yourself a favor if you didn't allow yourself to fall for guys that dont like you. If a guy likes you he will let you know in one way or another.
