First off, as another user recommended, find something special about his personality and search from there.
example:
Is he a little Vampire? lol
The Count/ Count
Vlad
Drac/ Drak/ Drakulya/ Dragulya
even cuter, Baby Drak (we used this as a nickname for a nibbler once)
Does he sleep alot?
Zzzz
The way I name my pets are generally by their breeds "nationality" or by something I am interested in and researching at the time.
For instance:
I have Siberian Huskies, so, I wanted to name them either something similar to sled dog names, which are eskimo, something Siberian, or my interest at the time was In Norse mythology and Vikings.
My solid white male and female then became:
Viking Blue & Valkyrie Blue
My red and white (who looked like a wolf) became:
Lobo
My Black and white (who reminded me of a police officer) then became:
Trooper
My Miniature Pinscher became:
Sir Dimitri (german)
I also named my cats based on my interests and their personalities:
Buddah
Zen
Apollo
Thor
You might come up with a combo of his breeds Nationality -type name, use these:

This procedure totally works. It is how I named my two cats!
1) Place your dog right in front of you.
2) Make your eyes half closed.
3) Stare at your dog.
4) Breath in, breath out. Repeat 3 times.
5) Keep meditating until a name comes to you.
Good luck!

What road was he found on? What is the name of the neighbor who found him? Was it near a named park or school? Maybe near a landmark? Names with a story behind them are great story tellers at the vets office. Sherman was found near Sherman Manor; General was named after being picked up near the hospital; KC was named after my neighbor Kasey Cane who found her; Kohl (Cole) was found in Kohl's parking lot; Moonshine was found on a full moon night; Alley was found in the alley last week behind our house...so many options like that. Good luck! Let us know!

There are many ways you could go. name him after the person who gave him to you, the street he was found on, what he acted like when you first saw him, the day or month you received him, after someone special that has been in your life, after something special you like example if you liked dancing use Dancer or so on. Special place you like to go, Maybe after something he likes to do or go. I hope these ideas helped. Good Luck!

Suggestion: if he has a characteristic that stands out name him after that. Or pick a name that you like that would be appropriate for a dog. Last, name him after when or when you got him. Good luck.

Buddy. Bcuz it's like a cute name for a little dog, but you won't have to change the name once he gets older.

When I was looking for a name for my dog I did a search on google for dog names. There are a couple of sites that have lists of names. I read them and one clicked and that's what I named her.
