Why not just hand it to the steward, and say "This is my insulin, you can hold it, but I need it on the plane." Insulin is in such a small bottle, and if you have a doctor's note saying you need it, well...maybe there won't be a problem. the terrorists were carrying several differant bottles of chemicals that they planned to mix on board, and these were large containers.

This rule is going to vary from country to country.
On the news last night (CNN, I think), it was reported that prescription medications could be carried onboard but the implication was that you would have to be able to prove that the medication was prescribed for you. All this will get refined over time. Perhaps liquid meds will be held by the flight attendants or something like that.

Read the news. Insulin is allowed as a carry on. So is baby-formula and breastfeeding is ok and...oh heck, just read the daily news and get hip.

Yes the are allowing meds. your name has to be on the package or on each bottle the name has to match your ID. This what they said this morning on Korl 10. Just your name and your ID match that is all.

It's a knee jerk reaction; it will go away after a while.
They really need to just check the people who are likely to be terrorists through profiling.
It's complete BS. Th airlines charge for food and drinks, except for a small cup of soda, and they don't want us to be able to brink drinks on board.

You need to call the specific airline. You may be able to do it with a valid perscription or a letter from your doctor.

You can bring Rx and baby formula, but that's it. I assume the Rx needs to be in the original bottle and have your name on it.
