In earlier times, Africa was just a group of European colonies. As time passed the European nations would not allow the African colonies to modernize for fear of losing their colonial "property". So once they had gained freedom, they had no modern technology or a means to get that technology, so they have a lot of catching up to do with little to do so with. Some people in Africa also like to live their traditional lifestyles and do not wish to join the modern world.

We in America should all feel Blessed. Africa has got such a evil leadership Government no matter how much you try to help the people a hand full of devils reap the benefit. No Christian leaders. I know people in Nigeria struggling to survive and it is better there than most of Africa. They need our prayers.

Africa is a rich continent inhabited by poor people. They remain poor because they are not allowed to become rich by the West and all other countries who take advantage of their poverty.

Because every government in Africa is corrupt. Alot of aid never reaches the intended recipients because the corrupt governments take it for themselves, leaving millions poor and starving.
