What do you say when your partner keeps telling you that they love you, but you dont believe it anymore?

How do you handle the situation? Should you say "I love you" back and let it go, or should you actually confront the situation?
And if so, How do you confront them, without being too harsh, & tell them that you dont believe that they love you anymore?

When I know that she is telling a lie, but my immediate purpose is to take her on the bed; I will confine my conversation to that objective and pretend that I also love her. I know and she knows that the conversation was not for a serious relationship, rather one is trying to outsmart the other. What one gets by entering into a confrontation in such a situation. If it is regarding your spouse, yes, in case you have serious doubt about the fidelity part, it is foolish to linger the relationship in a climate of mutual cheating.

You should confront him and do it in a non aggresive way it could be you are harbouring fears of your own or there has been a situation where you believe he is lying to you.never just let it ride as it can build up into a storm that would not be any good for you or him or any children that may be around.it is always best to get these things out into the open so the healing or ending can happen.

I've always used the phrase... "Actions speak louder than words". Or "If you loved me, I would feel it". Now this might sound a little blunt and harsh. Normally I use these phrases after an argument of some kind. If this is not your situation, then you can always say back to him, "I care a lot for you too".

Well, as long as he is saying it I think that you are safe men are not the type of create to say that phrase without truely feeling it, that has been my experience anyhow. If you feel that it has no meaning let them know what when they say it that you can not feel it in there tone and how important is that you hear. I think will make them more aware of the situation in a gentle way.

Confront them! You should always let them know how you feel! I would just say I need to talk to you about something very important to me. I don't feel as if you feel the same way you used to towards me, am I right? .....Make sure he/she does not feel pressured

Find a quiet spot, sit down and let it all hang out. No point in holding it in tell it's too late to do anything about it now is there?

sometimes in a relationship "i love you" becomes routine. they may still love you to some degree but maybe not as much as in the beginning. if you start to doubt that love maybe it's time to call it quits.

a better question is why don't u believe it anymore....if they have not given u a reason---then u are the one who is incorrect...now if they have given u a reason to disbelieve them---then consider carefully the reason...that will answer your question
