Why do muslims always say that the terrorists are not muslim when it turns out they are?

Occasionally someone claims that terrorist acts were committed by someone trying to "smear" muslims, but then you always get conspiracy theorists denying what the majority of people believe.

However I think that what you're referring to is that sometimes muslim leaders say that terrorists are not "true" muslims, because if they really understood and believed the teachings they wouldn't go about killing people. You could have said exactly the same thing about an Irish Republican terrorist not being a Catholic, or a Loyalist not being a Protestant. Clearly they do come from those backgrounds, and may well profess to be religious, but since murder is against Christian and Islamic teaching (or at least mainstream teaching) then you could say that they are not really followers.

However in the search for terrorists Chinese or Japanese people really do not fit the profile, do they?

Somebody inevitably objects, saying something like "They weren't real Christians... real Christians would never do anything like that."

In fact, on 9/11, the Muslim citizens of Beruit were out dancing for joy in the streets. A recent poll in Britain revealed that fully 50% of British Muslims regarded the suicide bombers, who blew themselves up on the London trains, were martyrs.

Face it... like it or not... whether we KNOW it or not... we are at war with Islam; and, in any event, even if we are not aware of it, or do not acknowledge it, Islam is certainly at war with us... and you can bet that THEY know it.

WEELLLL... saying that terrorists are Muslim is like saying David Koresh was a Christian... They might actually be Muslim, but they are really bad at practicing their faith and don't follow the teachings of the faith--except the ones that get them what they want, and they preach those all day long.

Y'see, the "Muslim Terrorists" take bits and peices out of their faith and take only what they want to hear and use, and throw the rest of it out. They then use what they want to get what they want. David Koresh did the same thing, only instead of wanting to "Kill Infidels" he wanted to have sex with lots of young girls (and a few other things too).

The terrorists are not TRUE muslims, they are interpreting the religion the way they want to and not as it is. And you cannot speak for ALL Muslims when in your ? you state that "all muslims always say".
Of cousre the good Muslims are going to disown the bad from their religion and try to defend it because then people like you think that ALL muslims are bad and that is not the case.
Just like all blacks are not thugs, all white people aren't racist. Every religion, race,and people has its good and its bad and unfortunately the bad always draw more attention then the good.

From what Damian posts it appears that Allah is all for war. That is not to say that all muslims are terrorists, but it seems that if Allah is whom you believe in then it would be hard to not agree with even the terrotists. However since there are Muslims not agreeing then they are not of the terrorists sect. and possibly do not believe the words of their allah I do not know until I read Damiam post I felt that they just did not agree with the terrorists ow I dont see how they cannot agree with them.

Muslims say that the terrorists are not representing the true Muslim faith, which is true. Just like some people who call themselves Christians (such as the Crusades, witch hunts, or Nazi death camps - Hitler was Catholic, etc.) are not really true Christians. Same thing. The Muslim religion itself does not promote this kind of violence, just like the Christian faith does not call for one race of blue eyed blond Aryans.

Muslims r not terrorists, have u ever read the Qur'an, God told us to defend our selves against invadors & conquerers, also told us NOT to kill a child or woman or old man, God told us to defend our selves (attack who attackes us), thats what happening in Palastine, Lebanon & Iraq, these resistances r trying to defend their lands

on the other hand, have u seen the pictures of the Isrealian kids who writes a messages to the kids of Lebanon on the missles & rockets, then the Isrealian soldiers lanch these missiles to kill kids & women in Lebanon & unfortunatly, the kids in Lebanon recieved these (killing & destroying) messages
