I take an over the counter herbal pill at night to help me sleep. I have been taken 3mg. Someone gave me a bottle they no longer use that is 300 mcg. What is the difference?

What I take is Melatonin 3mg. I was advised by an addiction councelor that this was safe to take. I'm a friend of Bill W. and Dr. Bob (4 years), so I understand about Eddie's addiction concern. I've checked this out before hand and I trust the councelor that advised me.

Johnny D:hey, its Eddie in TORONTO.mcg-MICROGRAMS,meaning a miniscule amount, generally something potent. What ever it is,be careful, thats how I wound up in an addiction program 8yrs ago.Whats the chemical name,if you want to ask me,go ahead. If it stops someone else from becoming addicted,or killed.I started the way you are headed. Please be careful, and at least learn from my mistake.Anything that helps you sleep,is habit forming.FROM,ex prescription drug addict/insomniac-Eddie/67

300 mcg=0.3 mg
now if you had meant 3000 mcg that would be the same as the 3 mg
