The very fact you are wanting to go on a quest suggests that you are already looking and seeking the truth. It might be Christ - it may not be.
You have to delve into your own soul first. Find out what and who you are. Armed with that knowledge you can look truth in the eye.

Christ was the man image of God. His son. But if you believe that God created you, then by virtue, you also are in his image. Therefore intrinsically good
It is your relationship with God that will allow you to find truth. Christ was our model. A way forward. True happiness is relationship with God, and relationship with yourself.
Churches are man made and should only be viewed as a community.
Go on your quest - but you must go alone. We can help and support, but you need to form those relationships!
Good luck and may God the Mother look after you!

Well like all other Prophets Jesus was a Muslim and he came to give the message of Islam.... There is one God and that is Allah... The Bible has been changed by so many people over the years.... just like the books of the Jewish and others but the ONE book that has remained in the original state and has been protected by Allah is the QURAN and Islam is the true religion!!!!

Try the Nag Hammadi Library - one should never read one text without reading all that have been provided in order to fully search for truth, even in Jesus Christ.

I have been in a spiritual quest, since years now. I feel that only someone who has met Jesus can answer "yes". I do.

I have met him in my everyday life, in little and big matters. He is with me and is my Counselor. God bless you.

Yeah, there are plenty of credophiles out there needing exactly that sort of ego-enhancement, and who are quite prepared to seek a dead god on a stick, even one who preached such nasty stuff as him. You'll probably find lots of 'em to join you.
