Why not get something delivered. If not, go to the grocery store, get two or more of the pre made rotisserie chickens and some salads from the deli and make a buffet.

Ok, listen up! Make spaghetti. Get 2 lbs of hamburger and 2 cans of Hunt's Spaghetti sauce (any flavor, I prefer garlic & cheese) 2 cans of mushrooms and a head of lettuce and a tomato and a large bag of spaghetti pasta. Get 2 bottles of salad dressing (different flavors) and some parmesan cheese. I know it sounds bad but this is the EASIEST meal ever and will be very nice and appear as you've worked all day long.
Do it in this order so it all gets done at the same time.
Get a huge pot of water on to boil, Brown the hamburger and DRAIN, Cut up that whole head of lettuce in a bowl and a couple of tomatoes and shake on a bit of parmesan cheese, toss in a large salad bowl and put in the fridge to wait. When boiling, put spaghetti in the pot (about the diameter of a quarter for each serving) After putting spghetti in, put hamburger back in the pan (large saucepan) add both cans of mushrooms and the spaghetti sauce and just heat until it bubbles and turn off. Pasta takes about 10 -15 minutes, you can tell when it's done by taking 1 noodle out and flipping it at the wall. If it sticks, it's done! I'm not kidding! Drain that pasta well and ladle some sauce on top, serve with the tossed salad and...we forgot garlic bread!! Grab some garlic texas toast (in the frozen food section) while your at the store (2 boxes) and brown that up in the oven right before the pasta is done. Wha-la! In less than 30 minutes you have spaghetti, with tossed salad and garlic bread! Good luck!
Email me if you run into any problems!!

Im not sure what you meant about BBQ wont work? are you talkin about sloppy joes? or a grill out?
well sloppy joes is a cheap and easy way for a large group of people you can either buy some type of salad or make one with it and chips or baked patato.
Or you can have a grill out (if you have a grill) its also an easy meal to fix up hot dogs or burgers you can also grill corn on the cob or grilled hashbrowns.
Or you can go with lasgna (how ever thats spelled) or goulash wish is just speggetti sause , hamburger, noodles and a veggie most often corn you can also add peices of mild italian sausage for more flavor and ofcourse spices.
Also you might concider just going down to the nearest grosery and gettin some chicken there its cheaper then KFC and you can also pick up some salads at the same place such as maccaroni salad or patao salad.
hope i helped with some ideas and good luck!

Taco of fajitahs are pretty easy. Buy the seasoning mix in the store, a pile of ground beef or chicken breast strips, and follow the easy directions. (usually, saute meat, add water & seasoning, simmer) Buy flour tortillas, chop up bowls of lettuce, tomatoes, chilis & olives if you want, shred some cheese (or buy it already grated), a jar of salsa, some sour cream, and voila! Ifyou really want to impress, to make an easy guacamole, mash 3 ripe avocados (they're ripe when they're soft), and juice from half a lemon or lime, a good spoonful of mayo, a chopped green onion if you want, salt, pepper, and a dash of tabasco or hot sauce. Just mash everything all together.
For appetizers, keep it simple. Chips, veggies, and dip. For dessert, probably birthday cake, right? If not, lime or mango sherbet would be nice. Hope your party's fun!

Buy fettucine, boneless chicken breasts for 10, fresh spinach (not canned), and alfredo sauce.

Put two pots of water, one small, one large, on the stove. Bring to a boil.

Put small sauce pan on stove, put alfredo sauce in pan, put on low heat (don't boil it, just warm it up). If it starts to bubble, turn the heat down.

Wash the fresh spinach and tear into small pieces.

When the water starts to boil, put pasta in the large pot, spinach in the small. Keep the spinach on a slightly lower heat, the pasta on a higher heat. The pasta takes a long time to get soft, but th spinach will cook quickly.

Put frying pan on the stove, fry up the chicken. Put a little oil in the pan first so it doesn't stick, add a little butter, a little garlic powder, and little salt and pepper. Pay a lot of attention to the chicken so it doesn't stick. Because you'll have ten pieces, you'll have to remove some chicken to put other pieces on, but you don't want it to get cold, so put it in a baking pan in the oven on LOW heat, just enough to keep it a little warm.

By now the spinach should be soft. Drain the water and add the spinach to the pasta sauce.

Check that your pasta isn't getting too soft. When the pasta is soft, drain it and leave it in the collander (strainer).

Put the finished pasta on plates, preferably nice deep plates. Add alfredo-spinache sauce. Top with chicken.

Voila. Easy meal for ten.

If you can't cook. Don't stress. The grocery stores have fantastic delis and precooked meals. You don't have to be a good cook. Go to your grocery store. You can get precooked roasts, you can get already cooked mashed potatoes, grab some veggies, a cake. and maybe a few frozen appetizers you just put in the oven. And some nice wine.

Cornish hens stuffed with wild rice, cut them in half when done. Follow the recommended time for stuffed hens...and I would half cook the rice myself. Garnish each plate with something green, like steamed zucchini & carrots with a sprinkle of lemon pepper. You will look like a gourmet cook, and it tastes great & is easy.
This is coming from someone who hates to cook.
