If 6 men dig 6 holes in 6 days, this means 1 man digs 1 hole in 6 days. Therefore one man will dig half-hole in 3 days.

Depends on which half of the hole, the top half or the bottom half.
When I ask for a half of a cup of coffee, I always want the top half of the cup filled, as it is easier to drink.

Depends if he was an Englishman or Irishman - if he were - it would depend on how many tea breaks he took - how many leaks up against the nearest wall he had, how much gassing to his colleague while he leaning on his spade/fork he did - probably a very long time indeed !
