I recieved a sewing machine from a friend. It is a Dressmaker model 205. I cannot find any info on this. What I mainly want to know is when it was first produced. I think it might be in the later 60's or early 70's. My husband thinks it may be earlier. It is made completly of metal. Any ideas?

Here is a link where you can buy the instruction manual for your sewing machine for $10:

I'd say the manual will have the date on it somewhere. Otherwise, there is an email link also on the aforementioned site, and I'm sure those people will be able to narrow down the year or origin.
Hope this helps

You reported that any help could be favored, yet your extra information do no longer sound very appreciative. in case you had capitalized the type call, that would have helped. I not at all heard of that kind. Sorry, can no longer assist you.
