How can I improve my sense of humor?

it is a disadvantage, but it can be overcome. You don't have to have a sense of humor to be interesting. You can be smart. Develop hobbies. Have something to talk about. Don't try to fake a sense of humor, because it will backfire. you'll come across as dorky, weird, and awkward. Focus on your natural strengths and play them up. Maybe you are more philosophical and ask great questions. Maybe you have great stories to tell from travels. Is your job interesting? Just laugh at HER jokes. This is very flattering, and shows SOME sense of humor. You can laugh. You're just not funny.

It depends on the women you date. Not all of them want to date a comedian. And understand that a sense of humor is a psychological defense mechanism. People make other people laugh to distract them from something that the comic doesn't want them to see, or talk about. Maybe you just have a perfect personality already...
If you want to work on a sense of humor, rent some funny movies or DVDs about comedians. Watch Comedy Central if your cable company carries it. Go watch comedians if there's a place that features them in your area.

With some of the women out there, a sense of humor is a necessity. I think dating is a perfect way to develop your sense of humor, dating today is sometimes a joke in itself.....

Maybe you arent as lacking as you think. Maybe your humor is just dry, or different than others.
Regardless, the important thing to do, is not be try too hard to be funny. Its a big mistake. Just stay true to yourself and you will find someone out there that truly gets you.

It is a big disadvantage. I don't know that 'getting a sense of humor' is something that can be taught. You either have one or you don't.

yes i cant even sit through a dinner wit a boring guy. i think if u relax n be yourself im sure u have some kind of sense of humor.. if not u need to find a really serious woman who dosent like to smile or laugh!

Watch a lot of movies and find out what makes you laugh. You may just not have found your niche in the humor department.
Find it, then you can work on it....because it's pretty darn important.

dude... the fact that you ask this question, tells me that you have some sense of humor...
just be well read and look for the ironies in life... state the obvious with a serious look on your face... be a little sarcastic... make fun of yourself and the mistakes you have made... all that just makes you a funny person...

HUGE disadvantage man.... Work on it. Watch different styles of movies and shows and find what works with you. Woman love a funny guy.....they love to laugh.
