I can't say. The big ones, if they happened, have probably been reported in the media, so a little search time may produce results.

But, as for a "total" number, it is probably much higher. Reports of derailments to the FRA are not required until over a certain dollar amount (in the 80ies it was $50,000) or result in lost time injury or fatality.

This means a car or engine may have a wheel or truck leave the rail and go unreported.
