I believe you'll need that SR22 insurance. You have to have that insurance for a certain amount of time before your license status can change. Call an insurance agent.

First of all, contact the Department of Public Safety in the state that you live to be certain of the requirements that you need to meet in order to get your license valid. If you need a SR22, go to an insurance agent (with copy of letter from the state, if you have one) and tell them you need to file a SR22. You may owe a fee to the state, so that is why you need to contact them first. The insurance agent will write a liability policy for you and file this SR22. In Texas, the insurance companies charge a small fee of around $25 to file the SR22, which is usually added to your down payment on the policy. Once filed, it notifies the state that you have done this, but can take 14 to 21 days to complete, depending on the state you are in. It is important that you keep this insurance policy active until the date the state requires. If you let the policy cancel, the SR22 also cancels, and the state is notified of this. Then they will require you refile another one, which means starting over. Good luck. Hope you can get it cleared up...

Call a insurance agent...They can help you the SR22. It just a peice of paper sent to the state that shows you have insurance. The insurance also will let them know if you cancel your insurance for any reasons. Then the state suspends your licenses again. Some companies and/or agents charge to file one. I don't charge to fill it out because it's just a simple form, but most of the companies I deal with charge up to $25.oo plus the cost of the insurance. Do some shopping around with the different insurance companies! Makes a differnce, believe me, some companies are outrageous....So, pick up the phone and get to calling before you get arrested for driving without licenses, and then you will back into trouble again.....God bless us all..........

Take a fist full of cash to your insurance agent. He will find a company willing to take a high risk driver in his pool, and will take care of issuing the SR22.

Now, be prepared to pay a lot for the next three years, minimum.

pretty easy just call your current insurance company and they will endorse the sr22 filing onto your current policy. If you dont currently have insurance you can shop through companies online
