I hate it when people don't even try to use the spell checker. I mean, it's right there!! I agree with a lot of the people who have already answered, there are a lot of them on YA. One of my biggest pet peeve is when people use "then" instead of "than" and vice versa. I've been able to weed out some of these illegible questions by changing the questions I see. On the left hand side about half way down it says "SHOW:" The default is "All English questions". Change it to "USA questions only". There are still some that get through but it does help.

He is one of two type:
1. An idiot - the majority of the people on Y!360^ and severely undereducated and not only can't spell, but lack the basic grammar to communicate on a minimal level.
or
2. A foreigner - someone who is not from around here and, just plain and simple, doesn't really know English.
In the case of the guy you are talking about, I'd guess #1...
Don't let him get to you! LOL!

LOL.. um, yeah, there's more than him, too. There seems to be a few thousand morons on here that need to buy Hooked on Phonics or at least buy a Speak and Spell at the toy store.
I always hesitate to answer the questions of these horrible spellers because I'm never sure if they'll understand my answer anyway...

Sadly, there are many that you describe. It is a little pet peeve I have.
What is going on in these schools? Also, I hate, hate, hate, these cutesy abbreviations, such as: ur, lol, jk, u, cuz, etc. The list can go on. That's just laziness. Type out the dang word you want to say!
Ugh!

Yeah, Joe. The one you cite has way too much company out there and it's most discourageing.
Some of us may have trouble with aspects of good grammar (i.e.; whether to drop the 'e' when adding 'ing' to words like 'discourageing' and 'damageing') but we manage to convey the message.
Allo Allo shares my opinion about those ridiculous abbreviations.

LOL! Well, there are quite a few of those window-lickers around these parts. They're like house flies, they're a pest, and they're fun to catch and pull the wings off of.

Does the inability to spell mean a person lacks intelligence?
You phrased your question very well in order to get a laugh but do you consider yourself superior because of your education?

Hurray, you can spell. I guess that makes you feel pretty good about yourself.
Now pat yourself on the back and bask in your arrogance awhile.
