Cranberry juice can help a bladder infection.
Drink plenty of cranberry juice at the very first sign of an infection, at least two glass a day. Cranberry juice prevents bacteria from sticking to bladder walls. Try to drink the real cranberry juice, If you cant get the real deal, you can make it by Taking a bag of fresh or frozen cranberries and boil them in water (they will fall apart). Cool and drink. Don't Add Sugar!!! This remedy is also useful for people with kidney problems as well.

She will still need to go to the doctor to clear up the infection. She will need an antibiotic. It is never wise to rely on a home remedy to cure disease. Cranberry juice can help to flush out the bladder, and if you drink it regularly, MAY help to prevent urinary tract infections. Your sister could also have urethritis due to a sexually transmitted disease. You don't know, and no one should be advising her but a medical professional, on exam. Left untreated, if she does have an uncomplicated UTI, it can involve the kidneys, she could become very ill, and cause permanent damage to them. If it is an STD, and goes untreated, it can involve her whole pelvic region and lead to PID, among other things, and affect her fertility. If she does not like doctors for some reason, it would be wise for her to consider seeing a nurse practitioner. They will be able to treat her and prescribe antibiotics. Good luck.

Make sure that she also drinks plenty of water. It the condition does not improve in a couple of days it may be that she needs an antibiotic. I hope that she gets better soon.
