My sister is 27 years old...she has put on about 40 lbs over the last three years or so....and now she has this "hump" on her upper back close to her neck. She says it's called a "buffalo hump" and that it's basically a pad of fat. What we don't know is how to get rid of it. She doesn't have any disease; she thinks this is totally from the weight gain. With that in mind...can she lose it if she loses the 40lbs...or will she have to get it liposuctioned out?

weird I know...but true!! thanks!

A buffalo hump usually suggests one of two things. It is either a muscle buildup (from the head being too far forward) or there are disintegrating discs in the upper back. The first one can be reduced by standing more erect and becoming highly aware of the postural discrepancy. The latter needs to be ruled out as it will require rather extensive care.. Being as she is rather young, would second problem much less likely. But should be ruled out.

ok I started drinking 2 cups of this gourmet diet coffee every day and lost 22 pounds in the 4 weeks you will not think of food or crave sweets or snacks when you drink it. you see results after the first few minutes you drink 2 cups in the morning. This is the easiest diet Ive ever done in my life. My friend who showed me this has lost over 60 pounds Everyone that drinks this gets the same results they lose weight. check out the abc news clips on their website Sterling

uh I think it also has to do with posture and condition of the spine in general from poor diet.

She should seriously try yoga or something like that--an exercise that helps with posture. She is too young to have a hunchback ... gross
