The name of the chocolate is a phrase which did not have any racist overtones at the time it was chosen as the name of the brand. Some people believe that "black magic" and "white magic" are racist because they argue that associating black with evil and white with good is racist, but since this clearly derives from darkness and light, rather than for any racial reasons, I personally do not think that the term black magic is racist.

No, because they are dark chocolate rather than milk chocolate. The 'black' in the name of the product refers to it being in darker nature than the milk chocolates.
Personally, I don't like them. They lack the oral ecstasy of its milkier cousin. So can I have another one, to take the taste away?
