I am actually responding to your additional information. Yes, some of the answers were bordering on ridiculous, but some actually asked an important question.... whether the parents of the children were in agreeance with it. It was your lack of information in your question that generated these responses. All you need to do is make sure you are very specific in what you ask, and also brief background... this will help you get some honest, and relevant info. Be specific about what you wanted..... are you after websites? Written material that you can purchase? etc etc I do also hope that you plan to compliment your christian program by catering to all other developmental areas also.

Most curriculums have a view point. At least the Christian curriculums are upfront about it! If you don't want that view point, then choice one of the secular ones such as Calvert. I believe that most of the pioneers in homeschooling were Chrisitians. They didn't like what was available at the time. So, they made their own. Businesses started to realize that there was a market for Christian homeschooling material. So, they started to publish it. It is quite simple. As for being scared, that goes both ways. I use an accredited Catholic homeschooling curriculum. (BTW, we don't deny there is evolution. We still believe and teach that it was all started by God, though.) We are working towards the goal of all of our children going to and completing college. I have a degree in engineering and so does my spouse. He has a masters in fact! So, please don't think that it is because we are uneducated. Or, that because we don't have a "teaching" degree that we are unable to educate our own children. Most of what educators learn in college are how to manage a classroom full of students. (This is what I have learned from homeschool moms who were teachers before leaving to teach their own at home.) Also, if you are going to be homeschooling, check into local co-ops. I know that we have a couple of co-ops in our area that are secular. Yahoo groups is a good way to find other homeschoolers in your area who might line up with your philosophy. Good Luck with your new adventure!

Not sure what your question is.... because it's more like a comment or statement of fact. Nothing wrong with wanting to teach this curriculum AS LONG as the parents of your children are in agreement. If you're just providing daycare and suddenly start teaching something, you may be teaching something that parent's would rather not have their children exposed to. Personally I think it's fine, but be careful.

Ok, I'm sure any Christian book store will have the avialable material you are asking about...

But, before you do this, make "sure" that the Parents know what your teaching, so that there is no "problems" later! Also, make sure that you teach the kids enough to get into "school", with the pre-required things, or the parents will be greatly upset at you!

I personally sent my first child to a Christian pre-school and it was great! (I later went to that church, where it was taught in the basement), unfortunately, they closed down, and I didnt get to send my second child to the same daycare, so, she didnt get the same teaching and I sure wished I could have found another one like it...

I wish you well..

Go to search "homeschool" & "christian" as keywords under google. That should help. If you are in northern California and can visit, come to Bethany Lutheran. They are the only NAEYC certified school in Vacaville. My kids were on the waiting list since birth. They are now 5 & 7 (boo hoo).

Make sure that the parents agree with your switch to a Christian program. They may prefer a secular day care for their children.

I think you have to discuss this with there parents are you sure that is what they want. You can get in trouble if you don't OK it with there parents,
