Not everyone believes that God created the earth & everything in it... if you are open-minded and interested in learning about new ideas, such as evolution, you'll learn that animals were formed through a very long adaptation process, the majority of the animals that have been on the earth have since become extinct and since human beings have been overwhelming the world's population, these "wild animals" have taken the back-burner and are continuously becoming extinct... in a few million years (if the earth is still in its current state... which i really doubt) i wouldn't be surprised if the only animal left was something like a bug. Hope that helped!

You mean besides the fact that they're beautiful and amazing? I think beautiful and amazing is reason enough, I know my life is greatly enhanced by the beauty of the wild life around me. Sure, I'm scared of bears, but no one around here has been eaten for many years, so not that worried. My favorite thing is seeing a wolf, they're fantasic, elusive creatures, and I really enjoy the rare time I get to see one. I bottle fed 3 baby squirrels two years ago because their mother was killed, and they were a total joy. So maybe God created them because He enjoys them too.

I think the first people were vegetarians, because Noah was instructed that it was okay to eat of the animal flesh after the ark landed, because the flood wiped out the vegetation. I take it to mean that humans didn't eat meat before that.

Mostly for fun. You know how it is, while you're waiting for the main event, you fill your time. Ever been on the phone waiting to get through to a company, and doodled something absently while you were waiting? It's kina like that.
"Right...Light and dark...check. Land and sea, check. Heaven and Earth, check. Animals, tameable...check. Needs something else, what should it be....I guess maybe something to tame them - pretty pointless having tame animals if there's no-one to appreciate the tameness...Whoah, who put that bloody tiger there? Oh...Oh ok, note to self: never doodle with the creation-finger...Platypus? I can only apologise. Now...I know, I'll call this tame-animal keeping thing....Man."

God didn't create anything; he doesn't exist.
Animals evolved from sea-dwelling creatures just like you and I did and there's the genetic code to prove it. You don't find a nylon tag on a tiger that says "Made in Heaven by God Inc."
