No, drinking alcohol is not a sin, but drinking can lead a person to do things that are sins.
Moderation in all things.

There are some Christian sects that could tutor that it truly is a sin. There replaced into once more effective, yet i imagine they're coming round at present. Catholicism, the oldest type of Christianity, makes use of actual wine contained in the Mass, so we for sure do no longer imagine it truly is a sin. Now, that stated, it truly is a sin to allow your self get completely hammered and make a fool of your self...to lose administration, in different words. Drink what you could manage and also you'd be tremendous. Jesus became water into wine because it obviously replaced into no longer a difficulty for Him.

No, if done in moderation. Yes, if done to excess.
Jesus told them, "Fill the jars with water." So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter." So they took it. And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, ... (John 2:7-9)
Wine is used throughout both the Old and New Testaments. The first recorded miracle of Jesus was to turn water in wine at the wedding in Cana.
It is true that we should not become drunk but used in moderation, wine is a biblically acceptable beverage.
Go, eat your bread with joy and drink your wine with a merry heart, because it is now that God favors your works. (Ecclesiastes 9:7)
What would Jesus do? Jesus had a cup of wine with dinner.
If some people wish to totally forego alcohol to eliminate the temptation to over indulge, that's fine. But I don't think they should force that unbiblical teaching onto others.
With love in Christ.

Nope drinking alcohol is not a sin. But excessive or over drinking of it i guess is a sin. Something that would harm your body is a sin. God wants us to protect our body and take good care of it =)

Drinking it irresponsibly and to the point that it is causing harm to yourself or others, is a sin. Drinking alcohol is not a sin if you are doing it in celebration and responsibly.

stating the obvious if we were to discuss the harmful effects of drinking on the individual's mind, his health, his religion, and his work; or if we discussed the disasters which he brings upon his family by neglecting their needs and by not fulfilling his obligations, as the head of the family, toward his wife and children; or if we elaborated on the spiritual, material, and moral evils which proliferate in societies and nations due to the widespread consumption of alcohol. A researcher in this area has rightly stated that: Mankind has not suffered any greater calamity than that brought about by the use of alcohol
a small amount leads to large amounts and one glass to other glasses, until one becomes' addicted to it. For this reason Islam's stand in prohibiting alcohol and in blocking all avenues, which lead to drinking, is very clear and unequivocal.

Anything done to excess can be a sin but if Jesus' first miracle was turning water into wine I don't see how Christians can justify saying drinking anything is a sin unless they call Jesus a sinner.

No, Jesus changed water to wine... If drinking alcohol was a sin, i don't think he would have done that unless it was some crazy way for him to figure out who amoungst him was a sinner by tricking them into drinking the evil spirits?
