Sadly most people try to make themselves feel better by feeling superior to others. They can't just say "I have worth", they want to say "I have more worth than you."
This is really the root of all problems - people join groups (religious, political, whatever) so that they can feel like the "chosen" or "enlightened" and therefore superior to those "not-chosen" or "unenlightened". They then justify persecuting or killing those they deem inferior.

well i may say in the first place that they have not recognize whom they and what God have created the to be that is why they can not be satisfy with them selves rather they will project it to other people.

because if a person is already satisfied and everything he/she want is fulfilled, then life would be through/finished... because we live life to fulfill our dreams and to be satisfied with our jobs...

I think it's because since they are so unhappy they feel the need to rain on everyone's parade. If they can't be happy, they don't think that you should be happy, either.
