yes they do. In fact, they generally have a "going to hell" party for the construction workers that build an adjacent church, from any faction.

Well, real Baptist churches which hold to Soul Freedom can/should never tell anyone else they are going to Hell, because Baptists believe that each person is responsible and accountable to God alone for their salvation, and not to anyone else (much less any church--even a Baptist one!) The issue is rather, are you being nurtured in your spiritual walk in your church? Is the church more interested in making disciples for Jesus Christ, or trying to play God by pretending to judge others (while they still have a 2x4 in their own eye?) Perhaps you would do better to seek to follow Jesus, and not worry about what some "Baptist" or other church says--we are not saved by our church, but by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

I do not believe so. I am Catholic, but my wife is Baptist and we go to each others churches all the times.
In all the times that I have gone to a Baptist church, I have never heard such idiotic comments.
If you or someone else has heard this in a Baptist church, I suggest you report them to the Baptist council as it is not a Christian comment and goes against the doctrine. Do not forget that there are lots of pretenders out there who say they are Christians and/or God loving, yet they spread ignorance and lies everywhere.

IF they do, they are lying to people. If you accept Jesus as your savior, you are not going to hell, and no church can condemn you to hell for not attending their church. They are teaching their own doctrine. I attend a baptist church, and I have never heard my church say anything like that. They lift up other churches to the Lord the way they are supposed to.

LOL... that's funny. I did have the experience once of one Baptist church badmouthing another one for the type of people they let in their doors, if that counts.

No. But the "Church of Christ" teaches that whether you are "saved" or not, whether you are a good Christian or not, you will NOT go to heaven unless you are *baptized* -- no matter what and period. It's the Church of Christ members who should be called Baptists, imo

It does not matter what kind of tag you wear while here on earth, If you go up it will blow off, if you go down it will burn off. The only thing a person really needs to know, is Are you a child of God through the Blood of Jesus. Romans 10:9-13 KJV
