good question...the 'original sin' is just a theory...so baptism is also not that clear...
“ We have honoured the children of Adam and conferred on them special favour”.(Quran 17:70)
Here Allah has honoured the children of Adam, both men and women. The Qur’an does not blame Eve for tempting Adam to eat the forbidden fruit or for the downfall of man, as has been done by the Bible and other scriptures.

Jesus baptism completely identified Himself with man's sin and failure, becoming our substitute. His baptism was an example to his followers. After being baptized Jesus saw the spirit of God descending as a dove, then the voice of God came out of the heavens and said "This is my son, in whom I am well-pleased. Pretty self explanatory when you really think about it. :) Good question! I hate to admit it, but I had to do a little reading on this question. I knew the answer, but not how to answer it. Thanks for helping me realize just how much more I need to study the Bible. :)

The basic outline in all three synoptic gospels is the same. They all begin by introducing the figure of John the Baptist and describing his preaching and his ritual of baptism.

Jesus comes to the Jordan River and is there baptised, and after the baptism occurs the heavens open and God pronounces that Jesus is his son. Only after this moment Jesus' ministry begins.

Baptism is an outward sign of our belief in Jesus. When Jesus did it, then the Holy Spirit came on Him.

The outpouring of holy spirit at the time of Jesus' baptism marked the time of his beginning in actual fact the Messiah,or Christ,God's Annointed One.Jesus was sinless, hence his baptism testified to his presenting himself to do his Father's will.

Jesus was fulfilling Bible prophecy predicted in the OT. Specifically Daniel 9.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. Matt. 3:15

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Dan. 9:24

This baptism, with the witness of the voice of God and the dove representing the anointing of the Holy Spirit on the ministry and person of Jesus Christ clearly showed that Jesus was the Messiah predicted in Daniel 9. Anointed One is another name for Messiah.

Good question!

Mary never sinned?

Jews for Jesus = Vegetarians for Hamburgers

God? He or She?

Church? Christianity? Jesus? Dying?

What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?

Does Imacculate Conception = "VIRGIN BIRTH"?

Google Imacculate Conception and learn something.

What else do you falsely believe, Immaculate Deception?

Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Can Gods die?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?

No Eternal sacrifice, big deal for a day!

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

Life after death is like virginity after childbirth.

If the flesh of Jesus died, what was seen walking and talking on Sunday?

If you believe this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to believe it too to validate you.

Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.

Believing and not thinking is choosing a mental illness and becoming truly lost.

It was the will of God. He was presenting His son to the world and even spoke to the people when Jesus was baptizied.

Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Instead of asking questions like these, you can actually find the answers if you studied the bible like you need to. I reaize that questions lead to answers, but study of the word also leads to answers too.

Baptism doesnt wash away any sin. It symbolises God's graciousness to us in saving us from our sins.
