How often do you hear someone say " Prescription Drugs
healed me" I have never heard that. usually they take them
for the rest of their lives and are told to "live' with it.

I mean, has the immense amount of drug prescriptions
made us a healthier people? Why do we even call it
"health care" its more like "keep you sick " care.

And despite the amount of prescriptions we are on.
We are the LEADER in chronic disease. No other
country suffers the rate of Cancer, Heart Disease,
and many other Chronic Diseases that we do.

In fact we are 29th in the world for Healthy Life Expectancy.

In fact the French consume MORE Fat than we do and
yet have LOW rates of heart disease. Also most other
countries dont shove so many pills down their throats.

Many European countries also have scientific studies
on natural plant substances and their effect on health.

What the hell is wrong with our Medical Sytem?
Cant they see its NOT WORKING.

I can see where you are going, let me say this however. Life expectancy is one thing, living is another. I prefer the latter.

As far as the pharmecutical industry, I am greatly disappointed. It has reverted to being an industry that doesn't want to cure your disease, just help you live with it. Not only do they get R & D backing from the government (tax dollars), they get it payments from medicare, medicaid, the insurance industry, and lets not forget my co-payment. At some point we are going to have to rein them in and remind them that they have an obligation to the society in which they live and not to the bottom line. Of course, the share holders who are more worried about their profit margins than helping humanity will have something to say about that. And believe it or not, I am a Republican!
