Not far, I think "Shell Beach" is closest (check second link for a map), but you'd better hurry, it's closing permanently on January 2007!

You have spelt "Llanbedr" correctly (sweynseye sadly doesn't know his own country!). You're north of Harlech, right? The beach is about a mile, or mile and a half, from the village centre. I think the YHA is in the village centre too.
As I recall, it's a pretty cool beach! Enjoy!

Input postcode "LL45 2LE" into site at multimap.com.
You can then zoom +/- to give more or less definition.
Try also using the ariel map facility - always interesting to get a better picture of an area.
