I would be very careful asking such a question because it indicates the same kind of attitude that the rich young person had that asked Jesus "what must I do to get into heaven?" Jesus told him to go and sell everything he had and come follow him." Jesus said this because he knew that the young man loved his things more than him. You see when one really believes in Jesus for the forgiveness of sins and trusts in him as Savior; God sends His Spirit to live in us and change us. Our desires become God oriented and pleasing. Yes there is still a continual maturing that takes place; but to ask a question like "how much can I get away with and still go to heaven?" reveals that no transformation of ones heart has yet taken place. Read John 10:10 and seek the abundant life God has for you and you will not seek the life of this world that so many live. I sought the abundant life God offers when I was 21 and searching and He did not dissappoint me. That was almost 27 years ago.

No one gets away with anything.
That's the point.
Everything we do is recorded in the Spirit and we are held accountable for all our actions. Which means that we have to pay back all our karmic debts to people. If we want to be able to ascend to a city of light (i.e., one of the religious heavens) in the Mid Realms of Spirit (where people of basic spirituality reside), we have no choice but to live a moral existence.
<< From our earthly perspective, it seems like we are living behind a "curtain of secrecy" where we can do things without anyone knowing about it. But in reality, we are "on display" for the Other Side throughout our entire lives. All of our actions which are done "in secret" are known on the Other Side. At death, this illusionary "curtain" is lifted and "the floodlights" shine on us.
Life is very important because how we have lived our life largely determines how far we can go into the light. >>
That is why striving to live by The Golden Rule is so important.
It is the soul's ability or inability to ascend into The Light or Master-Vibration which determines long-term happiness - or the lack of it - in the discarnate dimensions.

It depends on which religion you are. In hard core religions you will be punished for the slightest thing. Others are more liberal and consider sin okay if you repent. The Bible talks about even THINKING about sin being a sin, or cutting off your own hand if it sins. So it really just depends on what you want to believe. Frankly if you are thinking along the lines of what you can get away with you might just as well forget the whole religion thing and live your life. If God exists and decides to have you tortured for eternity for it, you just got unlucky. But He is supposed to be all forgiving, so you could hope on that too.

Just believe Jesus is your lord and savior and you can pretty much get away w/ anything and still go to heaven. You see the Good people all go to hell that don't believe in Christ as Christians say sooo....

It's a valid question that I myself often think about. I guess it really depends on what you are trying to get away with whether it happens to violate any of the ten commandments. Remember the most important thing to do is to pray for forgiveness to God. However I find myself not to be as devoted in my faith as I should be so this is just a suggestion. Hopefully this helps. Best of luck

I think as long as you ask for God's forgiveness by confessing your sins and atoning for them, you're pretty much off the hook for any wrong-doings. I'm an atheist, but I believe the idea is that if you sin, as long as you do that and accept the Lord into your heart, there is a place for you in Heaven.

According to me it is now so easy to get into heaven that you could murder someone and ask for forgiveness and you will go. It not like the old testament where you had to sacrifice and such. So where's the incentive to actually be a good person.

dont be presumptuous with God. You don't actually go to heaven, he abducts you! He wants everyone to go, but he won't take you if you really don't apreciate life. Why would you go live forever if you don't have love for life? That's why hellfire come from heaven and deletes the ungrateful evil doers that have no remorse and cleanses the Earth so it can be paradise again. The effects that evil had will never be forgotten or done again.

According to the Bible, almost everything can be forgiven if asked for, but it also cautions about making any assumptions that all will be forgiven so its OK to misbehave until its time to move on to the next plane. Some people subscribe to the idea that its better to beg forgiveness than it is to request permission. Ultimately, though, it will get down to just you and God; then you will get your chance to plead your case. Best of luck.

Probably none. If your desire is to "get away with" things, then you probably have not yet had the Life Changing encounter with God (called being Born Again) that prepares one to experience Heaven. But you can yet today if you simple ask God. He always welcomes his children in His presence.
