Ok,..

1) My sister and my mom are throwing my baby shower for me this weekend,..I want to get them thank you presents,...any good ideas??

But more importantly,..

2) I am due in September. My fiance and I are having a boy. We have been together 4 years and since we first started talking about having kids we have always said I could pick girl names, and he could pick boy names. He has always wanted his first boy to be named after him, with the exception of the middle name. He has his (deadbeat) dad's middle name and let me pick the middle name. I picked my dads middle name.

So, my fiance's name is Justin Robert...and our baby will be Justin Ray. I don't think I can use jr since the names arent exactly the same...right? Or can I? I've asked a few people this question and I always get different answers.

First question: Gifts after the baby shower - take good pictures of the event with your mom and sister and then give it to them in frames.
Second Question: Justin is great but Ray going with Justin is a bit off-key....it sounds like a rapper's name (sorry) or like someone from the country (sorry again). Maybe choose another second name? Justin's great by the way.

Ok, you definately can not use the Jr. if the name is not the same.

Your family is throwing you a shower so you don't have to spend an arm and a leg on baby stuff. Respect that and bake them some really great cookies, and give them a fabulous thank you card.

1) For a thank you gift, picture frames are always good. Never have enough of them. Picture will follow, and can always be replaced by a more current one.
2) Using "junior" is outdated. The names you have picked, Justin Ray, are lovely.

Good luck with your pregnancy!

OK, this is your time so you do not need to give thank you gifts. Definitely thank you cards though for everyone who gave u a gift. And I think the first born boy should always have the same name as the father... first middle and last then junior.

as for the first question with what to get your sister and mom im not sure actually , a card or a little money might work , or you could ask them , you might even be able to just cook them a meal in return for it.
and for the second question , yes you can call your son jr. or you can call him ray and you can call your fiance justin or vice versa.

well i don't know about the present question but i do know that you can't name him a jr. without the full name being the same as the dad's. i know this because my brother was giving the same first name as my dad but not the same middle name and he couldn't be called a jr.

The proper way to use Jr. is if the child has the identical name of his father, but nowadays people do whatever they want, its entirely up to you.

i think the names have to be the same, plus do you really want to put jr. on the end, you don't want people calling him "junior" do you?
