Don't be so sure. It's true that a lot of people have mobile phones but not everybody. It's useful for a person with less money to use a public phone. Also, if you are on the street and something happens to you, you want to call for help but your phone break down. Then you have to use a public telephone near you.

I dont think they should remove all public phones, as not everyone has got mobiles, and the fact, that mobile phones , dont work everywhere. Maybe they could reduce the public phones, and with the money they will be saving , improve the coverage for mobiles.

Interesting concept. But there are still some old people who use telephone boxes. And it would cost a lot of money to install proper sewage pipes under every phone box...

I would like to point out that NOT everyone has a mobile phone.

What happens in an emergency, like your house is on fire with your mobile phone inside?

Did you plan to put the urinal inside the telephone box...if so, I think someone has already tried that one.

public phones are very rare nowadays, I actually had forgotten they exist. I saw one 2 days ago, and 4 people used it within a 30 min. period. I think they shouldnt be removed at all in placed where they are needed.

Or utilise the space better, put a toilet, so everyone can use it, and put in a phone too!! Thats what the rich and famous have in their toilets.
