Good luck.

So, by now you have lots of advice on treating constipation. But, your question brings up some other questions: How long has this (constipation) been going on? Is it chronic, recent? How old are you? Is there pain with it? Do you not have an urge to go, or is it painful to go so you don't? What is your regular diet like? Do you eat much fiber naturally? There are many more details that play into a good answer for you.
My advice is to see a Dr. A good Naturopathic Dr would be ideal. Let them ask you the questions and then make an educated diagnosis before you just try a bunch of home remedies.
Most of the time things aren't seriously wrong. However, sometimes very simple symptoms can reveal very serious problems.
If $$$ is a problem go to a public clinic.
Take good care of yourself. You are all you've got!

Constipation is due to a mix - ur diet, work, health, lack of sleep & mental attitude. So trying to get rid of it as u tried may not be successful. Try this - drink a lot of water, take a walk after ur dinner, avoid eating junk food, exercise regularly, meditate to be relieved of tension and stress, have a good sleep.

All this will help u in the long run. Enema and medicines are only short term benefits with the possibility of side effects. All the best..

depending on how often you have this prob you may want to go see the doc. I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) with constipation, and NONE of that stuff works. Enemas only clean out the lower portion of your colon and don't do the whole job. It can also fill your belly with saline and make things WORSE in a few hours after! Every time I would try to use them, it would cause temp relief, then this terrible bloating feeling. Fiber is good but make sure you try non-psyllic fiber like Benefiber. Psyllium causes bloat and can worsen conspiation. Many old-school fibers have psyllium as their active ingredient (Metamucil, FiberCon, etc) so be careful and read labels.
My doc put me on Zelnorm, which is supposed to regulate the muscle contractions in the digestive tract. It has helped me ok- better than any over the counter meds. You may want to try colon cleansing herbs like WOW by Roex, but for me nothing works except the Zelnorm. I also found that eating less and chewing slowly helps. I try to wait for the food to pass through my system before eating a lot again. I hope that you get some relief! Good luck. : )

PS DO NOT use stimulant laxatives! (i.e. colace, ex-lax, senna- check the box) They are not meant for human beings! Or any other being for that matter. You could possibly put yourself in danger of great pain if you try these types of relief- particularly if you have a sensitive stomach. (even if you drink tons of water with them). Phillps Milk of Magnesia may work for you, and it is non-stimulant. (It doesnt work for me, but that's because my digestive system is dysfunctional. Normal people can use it and it works well).

I'm not sure if you've tried FiberCon, but it's supposedly the best brand you can get to help you go to the bathroom, whether you're constipated or have diahhrea. This was a recommendation from my boss, who's a nurse currently in the process of finishing her Master's Degree. Remember though, you have to drink A LOT of water for it to work, otherwise you'll have the counteractive effect where you'll become even more constipated. I'd also recommend taking bran in the morning. As bad as it sounds, IT WORKS. I've used it and have ALWAYS gone to the bathroom regardless. (This comes from a person who has had constipation issues since childhood). You can buy Raisin Nut Bran at any local grocery store, including Costco. Good luck on the ultimate cure for constipation. But honestly, bran does work!!!

Omega 3 (Salmon/fish/cod liver oil) just make sure it is highly purified - I prefer capsules.

Olive oil - if you can't use it for cooking take a teaspoonful straight - it doesn't taste that great (even the light virgin kind) but it will help

Cabbage - I believe this is because it is a natural source of magnesium but I am not sure.

Magnesium capsules - magnesium according to my health food lady is a natural relaxant for the bowels.

Any or all of the above, during the same day should get you going just fine, especially if you do mild exercise to the abdominal area like crunches. Of course, this is in addition to eating the fiber and drinking the 64 oz (2 liters) of water a day.

Castor Oil. It's what they used back in the day to relieve constipation and to keep their pipes clean and fresh. Parents would give a tablespoon to their children after every winter for "spring cleaning". I tried it once and it is some potent potent stuff. Tastes like sludge, but it works. Be sure to allow yourself twelve hours of down time after taking this--seriously. It just keeps going and going until you're running "clear."

A bowl of all bran for brekkie and lunch (fiber based) and drink lots of water during the day, its important to have the water. U tried a fiber mix but it prob idnt work because you ddnt ghave enough water, you need to be drinking about 4 litres of water with something like that.
If that dont work have a few pints of cider or guinness, guaranteed to shift anything!!!

Mr. Doctor Husband just told me to go buy some "sulcar" from the pharmacy, but I know that COLACE is the ultimate. Also consider glycerin inserts, but they may cause complications. Wow, 2 weeks, hope everything comes out well today. Have you tried lots of fruit and prune juice? No more cheese for you (or me, for that matter). I feel your pain. You may also be impacted and need to see a doctor, love. Feel better, K? K.
