On the news a few days ago I heard that a new automat was opening up somewhere midtown NYC. Supposed to be the first new one in quite a long time. Robo something or another, but I can't find anything about it. Anyone know what it is and where it is so I can go check it out in a few weeks?

I was at the original one when I used to Live in NY. It was next to the Empire State building. It was by 6th ave & W. 57th I thinkIt is an olden day cafeteria where you put money in a vending machine to get the food that you want. The perimeter of the place is all vending machines. They stuff inside each machine would revolve around, so that you can select what you want. Put your money in and slide the door open. They had everything. All drinks, All sandwiches, chicken oies, potatoes all deserts all jello all icecreams all soups, snacks, etc. AWESOME. It was not a cool place with windows to see the street and you get trays like a cafeteria and they had little old ladies in the back that you turned in your dirty dishes too, I think the chairs were little benches like in a school lunch room too.
