Granted all I know is that God will take up his people and the rest will suffer, but why those people. What about all the people who have lived and died before.

It is believed that to be selected to live in the end of times is quite special for Christians, we are suppose to bring revival to this earth.

However I mean does it really matter for those who don't enter the Kingdom of Heaven and reject the gospel? Either way they suffer anyhow in the end... Not to sound as if I don't care but its the truth...?

The ones that have and died before will already be raised. "With a shout ... the dead in Christ will rise first, and those of us who are left will meet Him in the air..".
Those left behind will have a chance to accept Jesus.
