I have thought that this deep love of Jesus might be somewhat threatening to a males self concepts. As in....I feel comfortable feeling with the idea of being the "bride of Christ."
However Jesus was surrounded by men friends. If I were a man I guess I would internalize the kind of relationship Jesus had with His disciples.

You should be happy that you have the love of our Lord, rather than laugh in his face like this..
I am so ashamed of all this foolishness that I have been seeing here lately, and this morning! Doesn't anyone thank the Lord that they were given a new day.. and for heaven sake - use this gift wisely.. but wait.. do any of you understand the responsibility that that would mean.. Get on your knees and pray, lift your eyes to the Lord.. PRAY!!!! Maybe this country - this world - would be a better place if we all prayed, instead of sounding like fools!

Love is a consistant attitude of value towards life. that's my belief. Unfortunately, that's not how everyone defines love. Love isn't a mere feeling! It's feeling with attitude! LOL The love you're thinking of is insane, and love isn't insane! Read 1 corinthians 13 to know what it IS.

You seem to question this "gay" issue for personal reasons that you are afraid to let surface...
Listen, it is NOT unmanly to love another man. I loved my father. I loved my older brother (both deceased). I love my buddy of 43 years and I love his son, his daughters and his wife very much. I love my nephews as much as I love my nieces. What is the problem? I am not afraid of saying this... why...? Because it takes a REAL man to admit to loving another human being.
Hey, I'll give you something else to think about... I have long hair since the late 60s and I wear my long hair in a ponytail... and I am very secure with my manhood... you probably have short hair and you're in doubt or conflict with your manhood...? Is that it? Let it go, man. BE yourself.
I wish I had told my dad that I loved him when he was alive. I wish I had told my older brother that I loved him when he was alive. That's why I have no problem with telling my nephews and my very dear friends that I love them... hey, have you ever heard of fatherly love, brotherly love, avuncular love? NO I tottally dont think it is gay!!! I beleive that Jesus died on the cross and rose agian the third day and His Father God made this WHOLE universe and you and me. God made the stars in the sky and EVERYTHING. I hope you believe that, also
