Sorry for not mentioning gender. They are both female.

A great deal depends on the family and the relationship between the two girls. For example in a naturist family, where nudity of all members of the family is common, then it wouldn't mean a thing, but in more conservative families it may be frowned upon. It also depends on your definition of 'bathing'. If by that you mean sitting cramped together in a bath, then from the purely hygenic point of view, that is probably not a good idea as there's not enough room to wash properly. If on the other hand you have a large house with a wet room shower which has room for two or more, then I don't see the problem. I know that many people would be worried about something sexual going on, but if that were the case, they would simply find another way to do 'it' other than in the bathroom anyway, In a world of so many dysfunctional families, maybe it's a good thing that these two girls are so close that they are happy to bathe together! As for someone's arguement about future boyfriends, why would they have to know anything about it in the first place? So long as everyone is happy, I don't think any harm is being done here. Carry on playing happy families.

Duh? NO, NO, NO!!!

It's bad enough to start going through puberty at age 9 for some girls, then to have to bathe with your sister that's 17. Serious mental stress. Not to mention vice versa. Why doesn't the 17 yo object to this? Mom if you are allowing this, you have some serious issues and need help.

Then you ask, why not, hello! Think about it, if you are/were this age 11 or 17 and have to take a bath with your sister, wouldn't this bother you?

As some one else said, " Think about it" in all senses.

Why on earth would the two of you still be bathing together at your ages anyway?
Where are your parents that they allow this anyway?
You should each be bathing separately by now and should have been doing so from the beginning and not together at all.
It's really not a good idea for either of you to bath together at all.
Is there a serious water shortage where you live or what?

I don't think it would be any big deal for one to see the other nude occasionally (when changing clothes, etc.). They do not need to hide from each other. But BATHING together: NO.

Why not?:
1. It is not appropriate.
2. It may not be harmful to the 17 year old, but the 11 year old needs to learn some things are private.
3. It is just plain weird.

Is that true?
Are you taking also the bath with them?
They should not bath together, unless in a swimming pool, or any other place where is more important to swimm than to fool around with each other.
Is not illegal, just weird.
Do they want to keep on doing it? Are you some sort of Hippie or just want to save some water??
If you would be Scandinavian, it would not seem so strange, but probably you live in the Puritan US....
Watch out with the Police, is everywhere.

Why would a 17 year old and a 11 year old be bathing together any way?

You didn't say if they were taking a shower together or sitting in a tub. But again a tub would be to small for both of them. If they are both girls or both boys I don't see any reason why they can't take a shower together, given you have a big shower stall with 2 showerheads. But honestly why would they want too. You would thinkg that a 17 year old would want to have their own privacy.

Actually, I see no problem with sisters bathing together. The older one can help the younger one learn about her body and ask questions that she may not want to ask mom. Why not? I showered with my older cousin when I was little and it did not hurt me any. It taught me what a female body looks like. I think it is a healthy thing to do.
