The people who wrote the bible are the Same people who thought the world was flat and the same people who thought the idea of the world being round to be heresy? So how can we believe anything that they believe because as we know with a little research and technology they were infact wrong. Also the story of the flood to them would have been covering the earth because thier idea of earth was just this flat area. ?? what up with that?

I know its not about science but I mean you have to look at the cold hard facts here, If you are saying that its not about science then your basically saying its not about truth...because as we all know at least these scientific facts have been proven beyond any reasonable doubt.

that is just a few reasons that organized religion should be abolished! people have been tortured and killed and used, in the name of God. when god has nothing to do with what those evil people did.

The people who taught that the idea of a round Earth as heresy, are NOT the people who wrote the Bible. The Bible as we know today (known as the Cannon in earlier times), was already written much, much earlier than that era.
The people who wrote the content of the Cannon did not have the mentality that the Earth is flat or round. Do give a read at the New Testament. You would notice that the writers were not obsessed with how the Earth is shaped like, etc.. They were more passionate about Jesus Christ than anything else, even science for that matter.

Nope..the people who wrote the bible believed the world was round..it was the leading scientist at the time that said the earth was flat...sorry know your history...the bible tells us the earth is ROUND

u mean al-khawarizmi, al-Razi, Avicenna, Idrisi or st. paul??All these Muslims scholar did much contributions to the technology today and now most of their researches has been proven right..About the quran, it was impossible if Muhammad had asked anyone to write it for him or he writes it for himself bcoz he couldnt read nor write and in the Quran, there is lots of scientific stuffs that is now considered very complex..1400 years back, God says in the quran that each human have different thumbprints and its only this millenia that we noe that, n many other things in the Quran are scientifically correct like the way the moon travels around the earth and about embryology, where 1400 years ago, most philosophers believe that there are small human in the uterus,and that small human becomes big and bigger and out they come.

The medical profession used to use leeches to cure people, and fought antisepsis causing more infection than not. It is a useless field for that reason.
